Captained Charter Los Angeles
Skippered or crewed charters mean that the yacht is rented with a US Coast Guard licensed captain who is responsible for the maneuvering of the yacht. In some cases the captain is aided by an onboard chef. Typically they operate solo. The fee for the captain is in addition to the cost of chartering the boat, and is by law paid separately to the captain. These are estimated rates and may vary per Captain. $75/hour is a good estimate. Call for overnight rates.
For a crewed catamaran charter in Los Angeles, NO SAILING EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED. You will board one of our comfortable and spacious vessels and simply enjoy the ride as you explore Santa Monica Bay, the ocean off the point, or even head off to Catalina or other points north.

Charters are considered booked when 50% deposit is received. After that point you have limited opportunities to re-schedule or cancel your charter booking. There are situations where weather or a mechanical/service issue on the vessel require a reschedule from the BPY end. Otherwise, options are as noted in the document below.

Best Weather in the Country…. But
While Southern California enjoys some of the fairest and most consistently good weather in the USA, we will on rare occasions have to postpone a charter due to inclement weather (typically a Small Craft Advisory). This decision is made at the discretion of the captain and management of BPY. If a decision to postpone a charter is made, it is done so with the safety and comfort of of our clients in mind. If foul weather is forecast we urge you to contact us for an update.
Suggested Clothing
Deck shoes with white soles and a warm jacket are essential year round. Casual comfortable sports clothing is recommended – layers are the way to go. Please pack all personal gear in a soft case or duffle bag, and remember that boats have very limited storage space.
NO HARD SUITCASES are permitted on the boats.
